Echuca solar energy system officially open
A solar thermal cooling system at Echuca Regional Health – a first for Victoria – has been officially launched by Health Minister David Davis.
Visiting Echuca today, Mr Davis said the ground-breaking system would save about 1400 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions and $60,000 per annum in energy costs.
“This is not only the first solar thermal cooling plant in Victoria but also the largest of its type in Australia,” Mr Davis said.
“The system works by capturing the sun’s rays
